Vodka is capable of so much more than just getting you sloshed.
Vodka really is the Swiss Army knife of alcoholic beverages. Of course you can choose to drink it, but for emergency preparedness, it’s time to think outside the vodka martini (STIRRED–not shaken–you heathen, Mr. Bond!)
Buy the cheap stuff by the gallon. Decant it into smaller bottles for use in your emergency kits.
A few of vodka’s many applications:
- Disinfectant
- Poison oak/ivy treatment
- Household cleanser
- Insect repellent
- Antiseptic mouth rinse
And my fave use? I keep some in a spritzer bottle for use as a non-toxic hand cleanser. Add a few drops of essential oil if you want to smell purdy.
